The Country Quilter is Launceston's premier quilting supplies company. It is located in one of the most beautiful places in Tasmania surrounded by stunning colonial buildings everywhere you look.
The Country Quilter stocks mainly traditional country-coloured fabrics, but there's also a great selection of pastel, floral and batik cloths on hand. Ready made kits are kept on hand, and if those don't suit you, the friendly staff are always delighted to make one up to your requirements.
There are gorgeous sample quilts on display, and if any of them catch your eye, you can learn how to make them in the regular Tuesday and Saturday classes. There's also a 'friendship day' where quilters gather to work on projects and solve any problems they may be having, or you can drop into the store for advice at any time.
